Why Vila Olímpia is so sought after
Because of the location. If you are here for meetings on Faria Lima, a fair at São Paulo Expo or a concert at Allianz Parque, everything is close. Congonhas airport is about 20 minutes away by car, Guarulhos about 50, and the Vila Olímpia station (line 9-Esmeralda) connects the neighborhood to the rest of the city.
People who stay three days for an event and add the weekend use the neighborhood in two ways: offices and meetings during the week, bars and restaurants at night.

- Parque do Povo: green space for a morning walk or run, right across from JK Iguatemi.
- JK Iguatemi and Shopping Vila Olímpia: international brands, cinemas, restaurants and a food court, around Avenida Presidente Juscelino Kubitschek.
- Avenida Faria Lima: bars and cafés that fill up after work.
- Parque Ibirapuera: close enough for a weekend morning.
Vila Olímpia and neighboring Itaim have a concentration of bars and restaurants, from casual spots to fine dining.
São Paulo runs on events, and that moves prices
During big event weeks the city’s hotels fill up. In March, the city hosts Lollapalooza at the Interlagos racetrack and São Paulo Design Week. In November, the Formula 1 Grand Prix, also at Interlagos. Throughout the year, the fairs at São Paulo Expo and Expo Center Norte keep Vila Olímpia busy almost every month.
So it pays to book ahead: in those weeks the most popular apartments sell out first and last-minute rates go up. Booking direct, without a third-party platform, usually gets you the best value and lets you adjust dates later.
